Impacts of residual stress and shear deformation on 2D steel frames using fiber plastic hinge element: nonlinear behavior and strength

چکیده

In this study, impacts of residual stress and shear deformation are investigated on 2D steel frames using a new fiber plastic hinge method. Geometry material nonlinearities, stress, deformation, imperfections considered simultaneously in the nonlinear analysis. The proposed method is efficient computational efforts since one-element modeling used for analysis by employing stability functions capturing P-small delta phenomenon. P-large phenomenon geometric stiffness matrix. Plastic hinges assumed to be formed at two ends members. Cross-sections members divided into many fibers. ECCS pattern assigned directly through fibers as initial conditions. A finite element program coded Fortran programming language predicting behavior ultimate strength planar frames. load-carrying capacity predicted precisely efficiently inelastic case study large-scale frame frame's under effects stresses deformation. Through numerical examples, we recommend that both should advanced direct design procedures steel-framed structures.
